PURPOSE:To stably provide the prescribed fuel pressure at the time of an engine start or the like, and further provide good combustion depending on the fuel pressure by providing a bypass passage in such state as detouring a high pressure control means to control the fuel pressure, and opening and closing the passage. CONSTITUTION:A fuel passage 3 is formed as a circulation circuit for connecting a fuel tank 2 to a fuel injection valve 1, and a low pressure fuel pump 4 is provided upstream of the passage 3. An engine driven high pressure fuel pump 5 is provided between the pump 4 and the valve 1. Also, parallel circuits formed out of a high pressure control means 10 and a bypass passage 13 are formed downstream of the valve 1. In this case, the open and close control of an open/ close valve 14 laid in the passage 13 is interlocked with the control of the state of fuel or combustion air feed to an internal combustion engine via a control means 30. In other words, the valve 14 is controlled for open and close operation, so as to keep the open state thereof when an engine speed is lower than a reference speed after the end of starting operation mode is detected. |
