PURPOSE:To produce fiber reinforced thermoplastic resin composite tube by a method wherein integral welding can be carried out strongly through induction heating under the condition that induction-heatable material is added to thermoplastic resin tube or fiber-resin composite layer by eliminating the thermal decomposition of resin at the outer surface of the tube. CONSTITUTION:In an induction heating device 74, a coil having the inner diameter of 80mm, which is formed by winding copper tube having the diameter of 10mm in four turns, is employed. Thermoplastic resin tube A1 is molded by extruding powderized resin prepared by mixing 100 pts.wt. of polyvinyl chloride resin having the degree of polymerization of 800 and the average particle diameter of 100mum with 10 pts.wt. of copper having the diameter of 50mum and the fiber length of 2mm from a mold 72. Round the exterior of the tube A1, fiber-resin composite tapes b1 and b1 are wound two directionally with tape winders 73 and 73. The resultant tube is passed through the induction heating device 74, which works on the frequency of 50kHz and the thermal output of 50kW, resulting in integrally welding fiber-resin composite tape wound layer B1 to the thermoplastic resin tube A1. |
