PURPOSE:To efficiently enhance the expression of a protein, increase the yield of the protein, reduce the scale of production equipment, shorten the production process and mass-produce a high-purity protein by removing a pre-sequence part from a structural gene and using the resultant gene. CONSTITUTION:This method for enhancing the expression of a protein is to remove a pre-sequence part from a structural gene, further modify a base sequence capable of coding an amino acid next to an initiation codon and use the resultant gene. Furthermore, a DNA fragment obtained by removing the pre-sequence from a gene sequence of a precursor protein to be an active type with an organelle is preferably joined to a plasmid and the resultant plasmid is preferably further transduced into a host cell and cultured to express the protein. |
