The invention concerns a solar lit illuminated address number and mailbox structure (10) comprising an open topped tray structure (24), a mailbox (23), a pivot (22) pivotally connecting the mailbox (23) to the open topped tray structure (24), solar energy collector structure (15) exteriorly mounted on the mailbox (23), a circuit (26) operatively connected to the solar energy collector structure (15) mounted in the tray structure (24) including a battery, and an address number light display (27) mounted on an exterior surface of the mailbox (23) electrically connected with the circuit and powered by the battery, the solar energy collector (15) providing a power source and connected through the circuit to charge the battery, the mailbox structure being pivotal on the pivot (22) to expose the circuit (26) stored in the open topped tray structure (24).
