The sleepers (3) are held down onto the concrete bed (1) by sprung clips (6) whose ends are located on threaded rods (8) anchored into the bed. The ends of each concave shaped clips are linked by a leaf spring (17) with a centre hole through which is set an indicator peg (18) mounted onto the middle of clip. The position of the peg in the hole provides an indication of the clamping force onto the sleeper.Each sleeper has an elastic pad (4) between itself and the bed while another elastic pad (5) is under the securing clip. The indicator peg is marked to show the amount of clamping force on the sleeper and can be adjusted at any time.
