The impregnated paper for the mfr. of a durable plate material is mfd. by (a) passing a roll craft paper (80-160g/m2) over the heat roller of 110-130 deg. C at 5-6m/min to dry it, (b) passing the dried craft paper through the impregnating tank filled with 45-50 wt.% phenol or melamine, 45-48 wt.% formaline as an adhesive, and 1-2 wt.% sodium hydroxide and 1-2 wt.% ammunia(or 1-2 wt.% amine) as a catalyst for a stabilization of the thermosetting resin at 10-15 deg. C and 12.8-24m/min to obtain an impregnated paper, (c) passing the paper through the dryer at 100-110 deg. C, 140-150 deg. C and 80-85 deg. C in order, and at 18-24m/min, and covering the paper with 0.03-0.05 wt.% unsatd. fatty acid as a releasing agent.
