The feed device is for a book stitching machine with a cross stack conveyor for storing and feeding out an upright book block series from a book stitching machine. Connecting to the cross stack conveyor (2) is a laying down device (9) which takes over positively a book block (1) or a book block part stack (1a), transferring it from the upright to the lying position. The laying down device is formed by a circulating, drivable belt conveyor (11, 14) and is pivotable out of a parallel position to the upright book block in the cross stack conveyor into a lying position and back again. <IMAGE> |
