PURPOSE:To provide an automatic meter reading system capable of extending a timing matching time interval for intermittent receiving operation and the service life of a battery. CONSTITUTION:The system is constituted of a master device consisting of a T-NCU (no ringing network control means) 10 connected to a telephone line 9 and a transmitting equipment and a slave device consisting of a flow meter 23 and a transmitting equipment. The transmitting equipment is constituted of a receiving means 18 for receiving a radio wave, a clock generating means 19, a timer means 20 for counting time based upon a clock signal from the means 19, an intermittent control means 21 for intermittently controlling the operation of the means 18 at a time interval based upon the control of the means 20, a reference signal generating means 26 to be intermittently driven, and a time error detecting means 27 for detecting the time error of a signal from the means 19 so as to compensate the time counting of the means 20 by the time error detecting signal from the means 27. |
