PURPOSE:To form a pipette tip which is mounted at the front end of a suction nozzle, sucks and houses liquid therein and discharges the prescribed amt. thereof and to provide the pipette tip with a structure which is capable of housing a large amt. of a diluting liquid while assuring spotting accuracy of a small amt., lessens bending or distortion of its front end part and has good fittability to the nozzle. CONSTITUTION:This pipette tip has a fitting part 2 to be fitted into the suction nozzle in its upper part and is formed with a liquid housing part 3 in succession to this fitting part 2. The front end of this housing part is provided with the front end part 5 having a suction/discharge port 11 slender in diameter than the liquid housing part 3 via an inclined step part 4. The fitting part 2 is formed to a tapered shape having the diameter of the inside surface decreasing successively toward the liquid housing part 3 and is formed to have a large thickness. The liquid housing part 3 is formed less thicker than the fitting part 2 and its front end part 5 is formed to the diameter small at the inside surface and the outside surface and to the length at which bending does not substantially arise at the time of forming. The liquid housing volume within the liquid housing part is 100 to 150muL and the liquid discharge volume is 4 to 100muL. |
