PURPOSE:To obtain a coal gasification power generation plant capable of improving power generation efficiency with reduced motive power necessary for oxygen production because oxygen necessary for coal gasification can be reduced in addition to securing the temperature needed for converting coal ash into slag in a coal gasification oven to operate the oven stably. CONSTITUTION:Plural oxidizing agent feed systems differing in height from one another are installed inside a coal gasification oven, and in-oven temperature is controlled so as to rise to a level higher than the melting point of coal ash on the lower part of the oven and keep at a level so as not to melt the coal ash on the upper part. As a means of such temperature control, the oxygen concentration of the oxidizing agent to be fed from the feed system being the closest to the stag tap is made higher than those of the oxidizing agents fed from the other systems.
