PURPOSE:To prevent an oil seal from being damaged at the time of differential input shaft or the like overhaul and at the same time improve the durability of the oil seal by facilitating the circulation of oil while the efficiency of over haul work is being improved by extracting a bearing and also the oil seal simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:An oil seal device possesses an oil seal 30 which is provided in pressure contact with a universal joint flange 18 and seals the oil in a differential. Between this oil seal 50 and a bearing 24, an approximately ringlike protection plate 36 is arranged. This protection plate 56 possesses an inner periphery edge 56a that is positioned on the outer side than the outer periphery surface 28e of the inner race 28 of the bearing 24, and also possesses a butting portion 40 that is formed by depressing a bearing 24 side so that at the time of differential input shaft support portion 12 overhaul, the retainer 58 of the bearing 24 may butt. |
