PURPOSE:To easily reserve recording. CONSTITUTION:A list of selection codes is transmitted from a transmission equipment 1 together with the program table of respective television programs which includes the selection code indicating the classification (genre) of each television program to be broadcasted and time information related to the broadcast time. In a reception equipment 22, the list is displayed; and when a user indicates the selection code corresponding to the classification of programs which he wants to record, the program table is referred to reserve recording of all programs of the genre corresponding to this selection code.
