A container has a multilayer laminar construction comprising an outer polymer film (8) forming a barrier layer, an intermediate layer (6) of electrically conductive material and an inner polymer film layer (4) with perforations. The middle layer (6) is earthed. In mfr. of the container from laminated film, the container seams are adhesively bonded or heat sealed together. Use of the container is claimed as a free standing unit or as an internal liner in an outer container, e.g. a corrugated paper box, wooden chest or barrel.
