METHOD OF MANUFACTURING ROUND TILES

A round rod of file material is continuously rotated about its central longitudinal axis and continuously moved in the direction of the axis for producing round files. An even number of adjacent first and second file teeth extending helically to the axis is produced on the round rod in that cold forming forces of diametrically opposed action are exerted on the round rod in such a way that the flank of a first file tooth and the face of an adjacent second file tooth are formed on one side of the round rod and the face of the first file tooth and the flank of the adjacent second file tooth are formed on the diametrically opposed side of the round rod.
