PURPOSE:To enable simultaneous video viewing of, a general broadcast, different from videos dedicated to KARAOKE, by providing a display control means which makes a picture-in-picture display of a broadcast picture in a specific background picture corresponding to specific KARAOKE played music. CONSTITUTION:KARAOKE data stored in a storage device 13 are sent out to a center modem 15 through an input/output interface 31, modulated divisionally by channels, and sent to a terminal device 5 in order through a head end 21 and a coaxial cable 7. A general broadcast of television, on the other hand, is also sent to the terminal device 5 through the coaxial cable 7 and when the channel is selected on the side of the terminal device 5, the corresponding general broadcasting can be displayed on a monitor television set. When the broadcast picture is specified during a KARAOKE performance, the broadcast picture can be viewed while the KARAOKE performance is carried on. |
