PURPOSE:To suppress unnecessary power supply in an automatic door closing device for slide door. CONSTITUTION:An automatic door closing device is provided with a power supply part 7 connected to a battery, a power receiving part 9 which is provided in a slide door and powered in contact with the power supply part 7, a motor 22 rotated in forward and reverse directions by the power supply through the power receiving part 9, a power transmission mechanism for automatic door closing which brings a door under half clutch condition into full clutch condition when the motor 22 is rotated in forward direction, and a sensor which is connected to the power receiving part 9 and can detect the half and full clutch conditions of the door. Also a timer T1 which is started when the power supply part 9 receives power from the power supply part 7 is installed on the power receiving part 9 and, when the half clutch condition of the door is not completed until the timer T1 expires, the power receiving part 9 sends an operation completion signal to the power supply part 7 to complete the sequence control for the automatic door closing. Then the power supply part 7 receives an operation completion signal to stop the power supply to the power receiving part 9. |
