PURPOSE:To provide the image processing system which can represent a multi- valued image having a discontinuous part in an optimum state. CONSTITUTION:An area generating means 11 generates an area marker for discriminating an image area as a probability variation independent of a density level of each pixel of an image to be processed, an image energy defining means 12 while dividing the area of the image with na area marker and requesting continuity in the same area, determines image energy which allows distontinuity for a part differing in area, and a solution search means 13 makes a solution search on the basis of the image energy to obtain a specific image processing result. |
