PURPOSE:To make a work vehicle freely travel within a work area based on arbitrary work plan by letting the work vehicle always exactly recognize its own position within the work area. CONSTITUTION:Plural reference points P1, P2 and P3 are set at certain positions able to get an unobstructed view from the inside of a work area 1, and a work vehicle 2 equipped with a controller and two position measuring instruments is arranged in the working area 1. Then, these two position measuring instruments respectively measure the different reference points P1 and P2 at the same time, and the controller finds the position of the work vehicle 2 within the working area 1 based on the position data of the reference points P1 and P2 and the measured data of two position measuring instruments. According to a previously stored work program, the work vehicle 2 is made travel and work. |
