PURPOSE:To provide the image generation device which never increases in the data mount of a drawing instruction and can use a small-capacity memory as a mixing rate memory. CONSTITUTION:This device is equipped with a mixing circuit 101 which mixes pixel data read out of a frame buffer 52 and pixel data at a corresponding position to be drawn next at a specified mixing rate. The pixel data as the mixing result of the mixing circuit 101 are written in the corresponding pixel location of the frame buffer 63. A mixing rate storage part 106 is stored with plural mixing rates. A selecting means 107 selects a mixing rate to be supplied to the mixing circuit 101 from the mixing rate storage part 106 according to mixing rate selection information included in the drawing instruction.
