PURPOSE:To equalize an electronic shutter speed and the shutter speed of a film even when the sensitivity of the film and the sensitivity of an image pickup element are different and to make luminance on a monitor appropriate. CONSTITUTION:The image pickup element 8 generates signals for monitoring an object image. An AE arithmetic circuit decides the shutter speed and a stop value for exposing the film 6 based on object information by the output of the image pickup element 8 and the sensitivity information of the film 6 and a correction circuit 31 compares film surface sensitivity equivalent to exposure density decided by the sensitivity of the film 6, the stop value and the shutter speed, with image pickup element sensitivity equivalent to a charge amount stored in the image pickup element 8. Based on the compared result, the charge storage state of the image pickup element 8 to the film surface sensitivity is controlled. |
