PURPOSE:To obtain a medium which is free from deterioration in recording characteristics by remaining of recording pits without erasing by constituting the recording regions between tracking regions by holding the recording regions of a high sensitivity with recording light with the recording regions of a low sensitivity. CONSTITUTION:Recording layers 1b, 1a, 1b and a tracking layer 2 are successively laminated on the tracking layer 2 to form a laminate 3. A material having the laser recording sensitivity lower than the laser recording sensitivity the recording layer 1a is used for this recording layer 1b. Next, the recording layer is cut nonparallel with the lamination plane to cut out thin pieces 4 of the recording layer. These thin pieces are laminated on the substrate 5. A reflection layer 6, an adhesive layer 8 and a protective layer 7 are successively laminated thereon, by which the optical recording medium is produced. As a result, the recording pits are formed only in the regions 11 of the high recording sensitivity formed to the width smaller than a beam spot diameter and the recording regions of the low sensitivity do not change when the recording regions between the tracking regions are irradiated with recording light 10. Then, the deterioration by repetitive erasing does not arise. |
