<p>PURPOSE:To provide a touch panel device which selects a scanning mode at need and speedily detects the depression position and its position detecting method. CONSTITUTION:Once a scanning mode specifying means 2 specifies the scanning mode, a scanning mode selecting means 1 selects the specified scanning mode in a scanning mode storage means 3 and outputs it to a scanning control means 4. The scanning control means 4 scans a touch panel 5 in the specified scanning mode. The scanning control means 4 makes the scan up to the depression position and a position detecting means 6 detects the depression position and stores it in an X-position storage means 7 and a Y-position storage means 8. A display screen control means 9 reads the depression position out of the X-position storage means 7 and Y-position storage means 8 and displays it on a display device 10.</p> |
