Yarn tension control during winding on draw-twister

Continuous synthetic filament yarn is wound at a drawtwister in cylindrical layers on a ring tube. The layers reduce in length as the dia. increases to give conical shoulders at both ends. After the cylindrical winding layers are completed the yarn tension is increased while the ring rail is lowered to the waste winding position.
