A processing method for silver halide photographic material is disclosed, in which at least one hydrophilic colloidal layer containing a dye of a solid fine grain dispersion. The processing method is carried out by processing the photographic material with a solution having a fixing ability containing at least one compound represented by formula (A): RSO2SM(A) wherein R represents an aliphatic group, an aryl group or a heterocyclic group, and M represents a hydrogen atom or a cation group.
