PURPOSE:To obtain polymer particles useful for obtaining an ink-jet recording ink excellent in stability to ejection from a nozzle and in drying property and printed-image quality regarding freedom from blurring, image contour sharpness, clearness, durability, etc. CONSTITUTION:The particles are obtained by polymerizing a monomer mixture comprising at least 5wt.% crosslinking monomer having two or more groups having a polymerizable double bond per molecule and at least 2wt.% hydrophilic monomer having a hydrophilic group, e.g. a carboxyl, hydroxyl, sulfonic acid, or amide group. The particles have an average particle diameter of 0.010.1mum. |
