摘要

PURPOSE:To provide an optical fiber for light amplification having low transmission loss and high efficiency. CONSTITUTION:This optical fiber for light amplification has a core and a clad composed of a fluoride-based glass, wherein the core glass forming the core is a fluoride-based glass containing a luminescent ion. In the above fiber, the amount of PbF2 contained in the core glass is <=25mol% and the clad glass forming the clad is incorporated with KF and/or CaF2.
