PURPOSE:To speed up writing by making a write pin abut on the input/output terminal of a memory, writing the identification number of an electronic equipment, which is previously set, in the memory through the write pin, detaching the pin and releasing resetting. CONSTITUTION:A microcomputer 7 is set and the write pin 13 is made to abut on the input/output terminal of the memory 8. The identification number of a CATV reception device, which is previously set, is written into the memory 8 through the pin 13. When writing terminates, the write pin 13 is detached and the resetting of the microcomputer 7 is released. Thus, it is not necessary to start the identification number write program of the microcomputer 7 and writing can be speeded up. Then, it is judged whether the identification number which is previously set in the device 10 is matched with the identification number written into the memory 8 in the device 10 or not. When they are not matched, writing is executed again and matching is inspected. The processing is executed for three times. Even if the numbers are not matched, an alarm is issued to call the operator. |
