Fibre optic view device e.g. for surgical application

The device includes a miniature camera which is mounted in a tubular housing (1) with a fibre optic input. A sealed tube extension illuminates the scene and picks up light for the camera. The unit is mounted on a flexible section (14) with a sterilised outer cover (16).An elbow joint provides connection with a flexible tube (15) which in turn connects to a rotating joint (3) allowing the stand to turn through 360 degrees. A holder (17) is used to hold the instrument in place.
