PURPOSE:To process monosheet-type lithographic printing plate with the printing durability improved to stabilize high-quality printing and obtained by applying a silver salt diffusion transfer process, by incorporating specified nitrobenzoimidazoles into the developer. CONSTITUTION:A lithographic printing plate having a physical developing nucleus layer and a silver halide emulsion layer on a substrate is processed by the silver salt diffusion transfer process. In this method, nitrobenzoimidazoles expressed by the formula are incorporated into the developer. In the formula, R1 is hydrogen atom, halogen atom, alkyls, alkoxyls, hydroxyalkyls, phenyl, sulfonic group or carboxyl, and R2 is hydrogen atom, alkyls, alkoxyls, hydroxyalkyls or phenyl. As a result, since the nitrobenzoimidazoles are used as an inhibitor for physical development and to process the printing paper in the silver salt diffusion transfer process, the printing durability, especially the printing durability at the fine picture part such as dots and fine lines, is improved. |
