PURPOSE:To obtain an ultrasonic linear motor having excellent efficiency and a large output by simple structure. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic linear motor is composed of a stator frame 2, a Langevin vibrator 3 and a carrier. The Langevin vibrator 3 consists of piezoelectric ceramics 12 and metallic terminals 11, 13. The shapes, size, etc., of the piezoelectric ceramics 12 and the metallic terminals 11, 13 are set so that the resonance frequency of the flexural vibrations of the Langevin vibrator 3 and the resonance frequency of longitudinal vibrations are equalized approximately. The directions of left and right polarization differ at 180 deg. in the piezoelectric ceramics 12. |
