PURPOSE:To efficiently remove toner attached to the inside of a photoreceptor belt to clean it over a long term and to keep the speed of the photoreceptor belt constant even for a long term use. CONSTITUTION:The endless photoreceptor belt 1 is laid among three rollers of a driving roller 2, a fiber flocked roller 3 and an idling roller 4 and driven to travel at constant velocity by the roller 2. The roller 3 is formed by flocking nylon short fibers 6 on the surface of a metallic roller 5. By bringing the fibers 6 into slidable contact with the inside surface of the belt 1 and rotating them with the belt 1 while impressing a voltage on the core bar 7 of the roller 3 from a power source 8, the inside surface of the belt 1 is cleaned by the fibers 6. Besides, the toner attached to the inside surface of the belt 1 is stuck to the surface of the roller 3 and restricted by an electric field generated by the impressed voltage. |
