Sterilising container has a base and cover, with a fastening completed by the tamper-proof seal. When sealed, a finger-shaped tab (5), forming a part of the seal, passes through a hasp and eye, locking the base and cover together. At the tab's rear, a standing part of the seal projects forward and around the hasp. The end of this part (10) is folded back, and is positively attached to the tip of the finger (5), by contact adhesive, with which the contacting areas (10,11) have both been precoated.
