Damping mechanical vibrations of printing machines

At least one actuation element (B1,...) associated with rotating parts of the printing machine (1) is driven by at least one vibration transducer (S2,...) mounted on the machine so that the control forces of the actuation elements damp the vibrations.The actuation elements can be controllable eddy current brakes. Each can consist of a drive motor or an auxiliary moor of the print machine. The vibration transducers and actuation elements can be connected in a vibration damping control loop.
