An annular metal workpiece blank is formed into a profiled vibration ring by chipless cold forming. It is secured to an ancillary ring by a spring body of elastomeric material, while the blank is rotated about its axis by at least one roller tool.The surface of the metal blank is simultaneously exposed to the action of the roller tool. A rotating ring (2) is used as the metal blank, with which the ratio of radial height to the axial width, prior the rolling of the profile is 1:4 to 4:1.
