For setting an upper precast concrete column in connection with a lower precast concrete column, the method comprises the processes of: installing electric wirings(5, 6) in loop forms to connect with an external power along steel rods(21) anchored in the lower column for the filler material between the loops(5, 6) to act as electric resistor; inserting thermoplastic wedges(3) between the opposing faces of the columns(1, 2) with rods(21) fitted into each other to form a space(4) communicating with the inner spaces(15) of sleeves(11) in the column(1) receiving the rods(21) of the column(2): sealing the spaces(4, 15) with a sealant(7) and filling grout into the spaces by injection through an inlet(14); applying power to the wirings to generate heat in the grout to soften the thermoplastic wedges to be compressed under the load of the upper column(1), whose bottom face lowers to come into close contact with the grout for integral adhesion with the lower column.
