<p>The chassis for a tipper truck with convergent sides is composed of two beams (6,7) reconstituted from folded and welded sheet steel. Each beam has an upper plate (11) forming a sloping longitudinal support area extended to a lower plate (10) by a vertical sheet steel web plate (15). The beams are joined by two transverse end cross members (8,9) and local transverse connectors (21). The front end cross member is vertical and the rear is inclined frontwards. Each upper plate is formed from folded sheet metal and is lined in its lower part by a returned box edge. The web plate has a different height along the chassis. The transverse local connectors are of sheet steel and are curved upwards in the transverse plane with widened ends (22). <IMAGE></p> |
