A lighting network is mounted in a housing, made up of a network (10) of fluorescent tubes (11-15). Each tube has a side slot (51, 55) through which light radiates. Light rays pass to a lens network (30) made up of lenses (31-35) spaced a distance h apart. To take account of divergence, by adjusting the spacing, a positional difference (v) can be introduced between the lens and fluorescent light position. The lenses focus onto the front face (4) of the box, which has an optical valve. This valve is typically a Liquid Crystal Display, with the back lighting enhancing colour picture viewing. <IMAGE> |
