PURPOSE:To obtain a foamed polyurethane elastomer excellent in mechanical strengths, compression set, etc., by foaming and curing a foamable compsn. comprising a specific prepolymer, a specific polyoxypropylene polyol, a specific diol, and a specific blowing agent. CONSTITUTION:A foamable compsn. for this foamed polyurethane elastomer comprises an isocyanate-terminated prepolymer having an isocyanate content of 5-25wt.% and obtd. by reacting poly(3-methyl-1,5-pentanediol adipate) diol and/or poly(beta-methyl-delta-valerolactone) diol and diphenylmethane diisocyanate, polyoxypropylene polyol having an unsatd. group content of 0.05 milliequivalent/ g or lower and a number-average mol.wt. of 2,000-10,000, a low-molecular diol (e.g. polyethylene glycol having a mol.wt. of 200 or lower), and at least one blowing agent selected from among water, hydrocarbons, and halogenated hydrocarbons. |
