<p>PURPOSE: To keep the most suitable contact state of a magnetic tape, magnetic head and tape guide element by supporting the magnetic head on a supporting plate with a journal bearing so as to be rotated around a pivot. CONSTITUTION: A head support 91 has a rotary bearing on a pivot spindle 90 and can be pivotally moved toward a supporting plate 74. A magnetic head 75 is exactly positioned onto the head support 91 by clamp operating, for example. On any side of the magnetic head 75, an inside tape guide 92 and a tape guide 92b arranged further outside exist. The inside tape guide 92 is provided with a holding slot 92a into which a guide pin 93 can be inserted when moving the head support 91 toward a magnetic tape 88 together with the magnetic head 75. The guide pin 93 forms a direct guide just near the contact area between the magnetic tape and the head 75 together with the holding slot 92a.</p> |
