<p>PURPOSE:To provide a color toner capable of forming a high color and high gloss image, having low-temp. fixability, hardly causing offsetting at a high temp. and ensuring a wide fixable temp. range and satisfactory releasability from a fixing roll after melting and its production method. CONSTITUTION:An org. pigment as a colorant is subjected to melt flushing treatment with linear polyester and the treated colorant and a bonding resin are melted, kneaded and pulverized to produce the objective color toner consisting of at least the bonding resin and the colorant. A resin contg. nonlinear polyester not practically contg. a THF-insoluble component is used as the bonding resin. The nonlinear polyester has a wt. average mol.wt. of <=100,000 and consists of a divalent acid monomer consisting of an alkyl substd. succinic acid deriv., tri- and tetracarboxylic acids and an alcohol monomer.</p> |
