Security system for apparatus requiring regular attention

The system measures the time from the date of the last intervention and has an actuator, connected to the time measuring instrument. The actuator moves the apparatus (1) from a first, to a second state, when the time measurement attains a first predetermined threshold. The system is then maintained in the second state until the next intervention. The actuator may progress the apparatus from the second to a third state, when a second threshold is reached. The first state may be when the apparatus is energised and the second and third state when the supply is removed. A removable certification card (9) may be entered into the keyboard (10) receptacle (8) to control a fourth state. Information may be displayed on a screen (5).
