PURPOSE:To obtain a color filter having clear color, excellent optical characteristics and good flatness which prevents leaking of light by including a stage of forming color coating films by electrodeposition method and a stage of forming a functional coating film by back exposure method and using a photosetting material for electrodeposition. CONSTITUTION:This production method of a color filter includes a step of forming color coating films by electrodeposition method and a step of forming a functional coating film using a photosetting coating film material by back exposure method. Further, the color filter has the color coating films formed by electrodeposition method using a photosetting material and has the functional coating film between the color coating films. This substrate having the color coating films and the functional coating film between the coating films can be produced by any method as far as the method includes a step of forming the color coating film by electrodeposition method and a step of forming the functional coating film by back exposure method. It is preferable that the photosetting material has 15-150mgKOH/g acid value and 0.1-5mol/Kg double bonds. |
