PURPOSE: To provide an electrophotographic treatment control method corresponding to photosensitive object operation characteristics and available data for automatically regulating a photosensitive object voltage. CONSTITUTION: Concerning an image processor having a corona unit 14, which has a charging grid for charging a photosensitive object 12 to a voltage level, and a memory for storing photosensitive object cycle-down and stop recovery characteristics, a method provided with steps corresponding to the photosensitive body cycle-down and stop recovery characteristics for maintaining the count of cumulative photosensitive object cycles and discriminating a period between the completion of last job and the start of current job and composed of a step for adjusting the charging grid of the corona unit 14 corresponding to the count of cumulative photosensitive cycles and the time between the completion of last job and the start of current job is provided for compensating photosensitive object aging characteristics by adjusting the photosensitive object voltage level during the execution of job. |
