<p>PURPOSE: To provide a structure which can be assembled rapidly and at a low cost, in a clock spring connector arranged in a steering wheel housing and a steering column housing, in order to deliver an electrical signal to an air bag for automobile. CONSTITUTION: This clock spring connector 10 has housings 12 and 120 to form a chamber 18, and rotor covers 16 and 116 installed in the housings. A coil form flat cable is provided in the chamber 18 around the rotor covers. This flat cable has the first end connected to the first connecting position 50 of the rotor cover 16, and the second end connected to the second connecting position 55 of the housing 12. A nonresetting type lock 100 which prevents that the rotor cover is rotated more than 180 deg., and at the same time, cannot be assembled again after removing once, is installed on the rotor cover, and when this lock is removed, only its fixed tub 102 remains in a slot 105, so as to make the rotor cover 116 rotatable.</p> |
