PURPOSE:To obtain more information with a smaller space by selecting a circuit operation mode from a plurality of the circuit operation modes and by detecting a circuit operation out of a plurality of circuit operation modes from the number of pads smaller than the number of circuit modes based on the results of selection. CONSTITUTION:One circuit operation mode is selected out of a plurality of operation mode switching pads A, B and C. At this time, pads A, B and C are held to an ordinary grounding potential by transistors TA1 to TA3, and the gates of transistors TA4 to TA10 are set to VSS. In this state, a circuit operation selected out of a plurality of circuit operation modes can be detected based on the selection results from a current flowing to a pad P because a potential higher than the ordinary operation voltage is applied to the detecting pad P. |
