The turbocharger has an exhaust nozzle (7) connected to its plane of discharge (EA), and into which a tube (9) is inserted. The outlet opening of the tube is concentric with the radial turbine (3), and separates inner (8b) and outer (8a) exhaust channels. The outer channel can have one or more flaps (10a,b) in order to block the flow. The channel may be annular in cross-section, and the flaps pivot about axes outside the tube.
