The unit consists of a threaded rod (1) with balls or rollers, containing two nuts (2,3) which are loaded by the intermediary of joining pieces (4) which butt against balls (5) lodged in a washer (6) which is solid with an external housing (7) by fixing pegs (8). In the interposing of roller stops (10) between the nuts (2,3) and the housing (7), a small rotation of the nuts is permitted which caused the balls (5) to wedge up in the conical recesses in the faces of the joining pieces which takes up any play when a torque is applied to one of the nuts.
