<p>A device is described for straightening the plane of an elongated profile to restore its linearity in the longitudinal direction, through mechanical machining of the plane in question for evening mechanical tensions, which cause deviations from said linearity. The device is primarily characterized by guide means (14-19) for controlling the profile in its longitudinal direction to straightening means, comprising a first and a second roll (8, 11), rotatable about axles (6, 10) substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the profile, each of which rolls (8, 11) contacts the plane from its side by means of a controlled contact pressure, the device being arranged to feed the profile between the rolls and at least one roll being arranged to perform an axial oscillating movement.</p> |
