The ventilator consists of a blower which is fitted in the region of, and particularly underneath, the front seats (2). It extracts air from the rear passenger space and directs it into the front footwalls. The blower can be combined with an air filter, which may take the form of a filter cassette which is simple to exchange and which is accommodated in the same casing as the blower. The air to or from the blower can also be guided at least partly through the seat.
