<p>Described is a mascara unit comprising a container having a cap with an applicator rod at the far end of which is located an applicator which dips into the mascara fluid in the container when the cap is in place on the container, the unit also having a device for stripping excess fluid off the applicator when the applicator is withdrawn from the fluid. The stripping device includes a zone which extends inwards towards the applicator rod. In order to ensure low manufacturing costs and significantly improved fluid-stripping action, the invention calls for the inwards-extending zone of the stripper to have a multiplicity of fingers (22) spaced at intervals round the applicator rod (12) and resting flexibly against the rod (12).</p> |
